Reveye Initiative - Haiti - *PAGE under construction
In March 2015, a prayer started for a school in Madian, Haiti to answer the need of educating missionary children, as well as local Haitian children. Over the next year this mustard seed grew into the The Reveye Initiative: an educational ministry committed to fostering a love of learning. The new school is dedicated to the development of the whole child and desires to awaken their curiosity and wonder.
The word Reveye (Rev-ee-ay) is the Haitian Creole word for AWAKEN.
The school, named Académic Notre Dame á Madian, is located at the John Paul II Center for New Evangelization in the Nippes department of Haiti, about 60 miles west of Port Au Prince.
In collaboration with this special community, they provide accessible education to both missionary and local children. They started with 9 students in our first year, then doubling both student enrollment and staff members in the second year. This year, the school has grown to 30 full-time students
Miss Rhonda helped to establish the school and is currently serving as chief director of classroom materials and supplies, and an active member of the Reveye Initiative Board.
Miss Rhonda’s Readers also sponsors several students.
