Our Phonogram Pouch Set is a treasured investment for the classroom. Rhonda designed them for longevity and to compliment Montessori teaching principles. Each pouch opens left to right to reinforce the direction in which we read and is lined with green fabric to link to the color used on the cards. Every pouch is handcrafted out of 100% cotton with a button closure to support small motor skills and an intentional work ethic. The set includes 17 pouches with stamps featuring the phonogram. Pouches contain pockets designed to hold the cards in our phonogram series. The natural exterior fabric with the surprise shot of color in the interior creates beauty and order and invites a child to interact with the materials. Interior fabrics vary. Basket not included. Miss Rhonda’s newest book about a real farm family and their dog Sugar. This chapter book contains six stories about Sugar the dog defending the chickens from a hungry fox and having a bad experience with a skunk. The children plant a vegetable garden, play all day in the snow and help grandma make a new quilt for a special reason. One story follows the farm from planting to harvesting. The Phonogram Word Cards are a comprehensive group of over 350 words ready to be sorted into 41 different phonogram sets or booklets. The isolated sound is printed in green. As always, the words were intentionally selected to relate to a child’s world and interests. We’re proud to offer such quality for nearly half the cost of other Montessori based phonogram cards. These cards are usually used in school settings, but are great for families too. Sounds or combinations include:

Originally written for the Montessori classroom, these charming first books are appropriate for beginning readers in any learning environment and at home. They provide plenty of opportunities to sound out words and are a great way to introduce the joy of reading. Most words in the 8-page books are phonetic with a few consonant blends and common sight words. Every story is true to life. The eight titles in Set ONE include: Sniff! The next step in learning to read is to embark on a chapter book. Around Town with Miss Rhonda is a level 2 reader that contains 6 chapters, each one focusing on a long vowel sound. The chapters tell real life stories of Miss Rhonda's neighborhood from wild geese to beavers, plucky goats and a caterpillar. There’s also a night the lights go out in a storm and a visit to a farm where a young girl learns to ride a horse. Each chapter is 3-4 pages longer than the individual stories in Sets ONE and TWO. Our handmade book envelopes are made out of 100% pre-washed cotton in a variety of patterns. Each envelope is stitched to perfectly fit eight books from either Set ONE or Set TWO. The book envelopes are specially designed for storage and toting in the classroom, home or on the go. Fabrics vary and books are not included with purchase.
To compliment our cards, we offer handmade card envelopes. Made out of 100% pre-washed cotton, they are stitched to fit a full set of our Action Word, Phonetic Word, Sight Word, or Alphabet Picture Cards. The open top lets children slide the cards in neatly while gently teaching them to carry the cards with care to avoid spilling them. Styles include: Multi-color envelopes for general use, red for Action Word Cards, blue for Phonetic Word Cards, Black for Sight Word Cards and Green for Alphabet Picture Cards. Fabric patterns vary, and cards are not included.
